11 Mar 2008 - Bench seat on path leading down to Union Canal badly bent

The seat is near the top of the path leading from Craiglockhart Road North  to Allan Park

Although our bench had been kept safe during the time of the major upgrade work on the canal it was unfortunately badly damaged by a JCB during the final tidy up stage.

Morrison Construction, the contractors who were carrying out the work, have been very apologetic. They have already ordered a replacement and will install it as soon as available.

Craiglockhart Community Council originally installed the seat in 2004 and it has been well used over the years.  We look forward to its restoration.
