14 Jun 2008 - The Craiglockhart Woods Group Fete
The Craiglockhart Woods Group held another very successful Fete on 14th June 2008.
The weather behaved itself (just) and there were plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy and stalls at which to spend their money. The pony rides were as popular as ever and there were no seats to be had around the crafts stand. Ice cream cones were seen in plenty in spite of it not being one of our warmer June days. The 2008 Fete raised an excellent net sum of £1677 thanks to everyone's generousity.
Right The Home Baking counter had eager customers queuing several deep. Below Feet were tapping to the lively melodies from the Jazz musicians of the Edinburgh Concert Band.
Below right The Fire Brigade managed time off duty to bring along one of their tenders and give conducted tours of its inner secrets.
