23 Jun 2007 - The Craiglockhart Woods Group Annual Summer Fete

The weather forecasts did not omen well for this year’s fete and the continuous downpour in the morning made the venue look a little like Craiglockhart’s version of Glastonbury ’s muddy fields. But the rain stopped by 2pm and the sun even managed to briefly glimpse through. The home baking and ice cream stalls still did brisk business and a band provided some lively music. Gordon Buchan our new councillor kindly volunteered to go in the stocks to be splatted with wet sponges for a small fee in a good cause.
