30 Oct 2007 - New Bench Seat installed on the Union Canal in Craiglockhart

With the aid of a grant from South West Neighbourhood Partnership and the co-operation of British Waterways Scotland we have organised the installation of a bench seat on the stretch of the Union Canal between the Slateford Aqueduct and Prince Charlies Bridge.

We hope that it will be enjoyed by all towpath users, especially if they have just had to climb up one of the neighbouring flights of steps!  The vista from it includes the Pentlands to the South and Arthurs Seat to the North.
