28 Jan 2008 - Night Flights over Craiglockhart for 8 Months
Starting 30th March 2008, major resurfacing work on the main Edinburgh Airport Runway will mean that between the hours of 11pm and 5.45am, Sunday through Friday, planes will have to use the secondary runway which will route their flight paths over Craiglockhart. This work is scheduled to take 8 months.
BAA have started a major commununication programme to inform all effected communities of what is happening and why. There will be leaflets distributed and public displays at various venues. The BAA airspace one gives details of the Public Information Evenings and the Factsheet gives an animated representation of the changed flight paths.
